Communities Count in Delaware 2005

Publication Date:
2005
Communities Count in Delaware examines the well-being of children in communities throughout the state of Delaware using the 2000 Census tracts. Each census tract is assessed and assigned a score using the Conditions for Children’s Well-Being Score (CCWBS). The CCWBS is based on four indicators that are important to the well-being of children and families: percent of female-headed households with related children, percent of population below poverty, percent of persons 25 and over that are high school dropouts, and percent of men 16 to 24 that are unemployed or not in the labor force. Once assigned a score, each census tract is compared to the Delaware score.
