Bahira Sherif Trask, Ph.D. (University of Pennsylvania, 1996) is a Professor and Associate Chairperson in Department of Human Development and Family Studies.  She is also Affiliated Faculty for the Honor's and Women's Studies Programs.  Dr. Trask has been with the Center for Community Research and Service since 1998.  Prior to coming to the University of Delaware, she was a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Trask is the recipient of multiple awards for outstanding teaching; in 2000/2003 and 2006, respectively, she was awarded the Outstanding Faculty--Undergraduate Teaching Award and the Outstanding Faculty--Graduate Teaching Award from the Department of Individual and Family Studies.  She is the author of a book entited Globalization and Families: Accelerated Systemic Social Change and the editor of several volumes including the Consumer Sciences Research Journal: Cultural Diversity, Cultural Diversity and Families: Expanding Perspectives, and The Greenwood Encyclopedia of International Women's Issues.
